Working for a leading global factory automation manufacturer, the Robot Engineer will provide an advanced level of automation, integration, training and technical support for their robot series lineup. Serve as the subject matter expert by providing post-sales support to key customers and internal engineers. Apply technical knowledge of robots to target industries. Works with limited supervision and uses independent judgement and decisions. Will be responsible for paid and non-paid services including that of; application development, system startups, and post sales training and support for new and existing customer base.

Position Duties and Responsibilities
Be a direct line of contact for machine tool importers and become engaged with their customers to understand integrator opportunities as well as identify and qualify applications, recommend and demo solutions, and help close a sale
Perform customer feasibility studies with actual and simulated systems that illustrate both proof of concept for customer applications as well as the ease of use and flexibility of the company's hardware and software solutions
Using CC-Link and other such common communication platforms, develop the custom interfaces required between the company's CNC Controls and Robots
Design and place end of arm tooling on specially crafted applications to meet the requirements for durability, efficiency, effectiveness, and safety
Develop and maintain new resource materials and tools to improve products and applications; self-study, hands-on testing, seminars
Create documentation and organize the robot technical information in their knowledgebase to expand the available resources for others to utilize and learn from
Provide advanced levels of training and support to key customers; MTBs, Integrators, end-users and company engineers
Configure automation cells for displaying  levels of support and integration, as well to showcase product lineup
Follow up on technical claims, service activity and other customer related inquiries
Provide customer and market feedback regarding the specific requirements from target industries and applications
Be the Robot subject matter expert in TSS
Perform other duties as assigned
Travel Requirements
30-50% travel throughout North America

Required Skills
Ability to read and understand technical documentation: schematics, logic, procedures, etc.
Mechanical aptitude, Manufacturing process understanding, and Organizational skills are all a plus
Strong verbal and written communication skills to communicate with and maintain effective relationships with customers and colleagues
Ability to perform a hands-on role in an industrial environment, including but not limited to: wearing of proper safety attire, maneuvering into tight locations, occasional heavy lifting and carrying, standing on hard surfaces, and knowledgeable on electrical and mechanical tools
Computer proficiency – knowledge of MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
Customer focused

Beneficial Education, Skills and Experience
Customer service focused along with revenue generation mindset
Experience in motion controllers (AC and DC) and programmable logic controllers (PLC’s) is a plus
Experience in field service and/ or in-house support roles

Required Experience
Bachelor of Science in Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial engineering from a four year college or technical school
Minimum of two(2) to six (6) years of experience in robot applications and solutions
Experience developing the custom interfaces required between CNC Controls and Robots
